About DNQ
Affordable competition, distinct rules and a motorsports community built around weeknight racing.
Our Story
The DNQ Karting Series was founded in 2012 by Eddie and Stephen D'Hondt. The series was built around a simple idea: provide a unique, competitive and fun racing experience that remains accessible to drivers across a wide range of experience levels.
Affordable, Competitive Racing
DNQ has grown into a staple of the kart-racing community by keeping the racing experience affordable while still putting a premium on competition, race craft and memorable events. That approach has helped make the series a place where new racers can get started and experienced racers can compete without the cost structure of many higher-budget programs.
What Makes DNQ Different
One of DNQ's signatures is the use of treaded Hoosier tires on flat karts. The format was adopted to create a different racing experience and a more level playing field than prep-based racing. Blue Ridge Labs supports the enforcement side of the program through random and standard tire-sample testing.
Built Around the Motorsports Community
DNQ races on weeknights, which has long made the series a natural fit for people who work in NASCAR and other forms of professional motorsports. Road-crew members, fabricators, mechanics and other industry employees have been able to race when their schedules allow, helping build a strong crossover between grassroots karting and the professional racing community.
Signature Events
The DNQ calendar has produced memorable events including the DNQuinn 500 and the Milltona 50. Notable DNQuinn 500 winners include Kyle Strickler, Ryan Truex, Corey LaJoie and Joey Dennewitz. Milltona 50 winners have included Jason Efird, Tim Nye, Jason Denney, Tyson Fries, Steve Pedulla, Adam Welch and Ronnie Shirk.
Media, Personality & Community
DNQ has built a strong social-media presence around its race coverage, including YouTube videos that mix racing with the satire-style commentary that has become part of the series' personality. The goal is to make the racing competitive without losing the fun, character and community that make grassroots motorsports worth following.
For Partners
DNQ gives partners access to a highly engaged motorsports audience that includes both amateur racers and people working throughout the professional racing industry. Series partners can build brand awareness around race-night competition, digital coverage, driver stories, specialty awards and a community that is deeply connected to racing.
