Jason Efird has decided to close his Cup operation down after racing in the Milltona 50. However, he is not ready to call it a career and leave the DNQ Series. Efird has decided to focus on a full IROC Series effort for the remaining 2016 races, Efird will still have a shot at the IROC Series title, if he can get into the Top 4 in points he will be able to race for the championship in the final event of the year.When asked about making the move into the lower series Efird said "I lost my sponsor and lost my crew, I don't want to run top 5, I want to win. I'm going back to the bottom to work my way back up to winning again". Efird has full plans of making waves in the IROC Series for the rest of 2016.
